Sydney Scorpions Charity of the Year (2025)

Sally Heys, best friend of my sister Sarah, was diagnosed with Stage 3 HER2 Positive Breast Cancer in January while 8 weeks pregnant with her first child. Despite the devastating news, she was fortunate to have an excellent medical team who confirmed she could undergo treatment while continuing her pregnancy.

Since then, Sally has had surgery, completed four rounds of aggressive chemotherapy, and is currently receiving weekly chemo at 27 weeks pregnant. After her baby is born, she will continue treatment followed by 12 months of immunotherapy.

Sally and her fiancé Jack are well-known in the Northern Beaches community through their work, volunteering, and involvement in Touch Football. Throughout this journey, Sally has remained incredibly positive and deeply supported by loved ones, including her workplace.

Funds raised will help ease the financial strain of time off work and ongoing treatment. Every contribution supports Sally, Jack, and baby Ritchie as they face this immense challenge together.
